Larry Newhouse, 71, of Dunbar, WV left his earthly body to enter into eternal rest on February 12, 2025.

Larry was born on August 11, 1953, to the late Dollie and Herman Newhouse.

Larry was a 1971 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed his employment at Trojan Steel and shared many stories of his deliveries. He was an avid and unwavering fan of the Cleveland Browns.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Haynes; brother, Robert Newhouse; and twin brother Gary Newhouse (Kay); and his brother-in-law, Junior Smith..

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Virginia "Janie" Mynes Newhouse; daughter, Lori Jo Cobb (Patrick); son, Larry Alan Newhouse; and his only grandchild, Carter Cobb, who he adored and was the best Pawpaw to.

He is also survived by his sisters, Edna Smith, Sidney Alderman (Jerry), Helen (and daughter Carrie) Dragan, Ann Puzey, and Jan Newhouse. He was Uncle Larry to numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by his family and friends whom he cared so greatly for and enjoyed making memories with throughout his life.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated, and burial will be at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
