Lawrence Whittington's Obituary
Lawrence Whittington, 83, of Charleston, passed away Tuesday, May 15, at CAMC-Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator and was a US Navy veteran of WW II.
He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Dean Whittington, parents, Mike and Ora Whittington, brothers, Ed Whittington and Bose Whittington and his sisters, Bea and Thelma Flowers.
Surviving are his wife, Ravenell J. Whittington; son, Brian Whittington of Fla; daughters, Deborah Lenney and Paula King of Fla and Pam Monroe of Tn; brothers, Jack Whittington of Scott Depot and Eugene Whittington of Lincoln Co. and his sister, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 19, at the North Charleston Apostolic Church with the Rev. Anthony Moss and the Rev. Philip Bowles officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 1221 Ohio Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
