Lena Lanham, 65, of St. Albans went home to be with the Lord and dance with the angels on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

Born in Shrewsberry, WV on September 16, 1958 she was the daughter of the late Isom and Dimple Bays.

Lena was a homemaker, loving mother, and the best Maw-Maw a kid could have.  She loved her boys and grandchildren endlessly.  Lena was always quick to forgive, always offered advice to "pray about it", and to know her was to love her.  Life was often hard, but she always found a way to laugh and make the best of any situation.  While her journey here on earth is over, her love lives on in the hearts of her loved ones.  Take comfort in knowing she is rejoicing with the angels.

In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her siblings, and husband, Wayne Lanham.

Left to love and cherish her memory are her two sons, Douglas "Doug" Bays and Robert (Bobby) Holley; seven grandchildren, Dustin, Hailey, Raiden, Ava and Lacey Holley, and Elizabeth and Savannah Speer; two brothers, Rick and Elijah Burkhart; along with a host of nieces and nephews, and her best friend Jewel Hancock.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at The Crossing Baptist Church 2031 Harrison Avenue, St. Albans with Stan Smith officiating.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.
