Lenley Frank Booth, 86, of Cross Lanes born on July 17, 1928 died on January 19, 2015, at Thomas Memorial Hospital of a brain aneurism.

Frank had worked as a manager for the Wright Bachman Lumber Company before going to work for Norandex Reynolds Building Materials. While there, he was the district supervisor with 13 branches in 7 states and also the store manager for Norandex Building Materials in Nitro. After his retirement from Norandex, he worked 23 years as a salesman for St. Albans Window Manufacturing Company, a job he was particularly fond of because he had the opportunity to work with people he cared for like his family. He loved being in the sales world that allowed him to go out and talk with a lot of people. He was a wonderful, people kind of guy.

Frank was a U.S. Army Veteran, Staff Sergeant and Squad Leader, with the 25th Infantry Division., 27th Regiment, WWII Japan occupation and Korea. He was awarded various medals, including one Bronze Star. He was a 60+ year member and master mason of AF & AM Masonic Lodge No. 153, a member of Beni Kedem Shrine, Tyrian No. 13 Royal Arch Mason, and Commandery No. 004 Knights Templar. He was also an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He was a life member of VFW Post No. 6418 St. Albans, and member of American Legion Post No. 0073, St. Albans.

Frank was a military buff and enjoyed history books and videos about the settlement of the American frontier, the American Revolution, Civil War, WW's I & II, Korea and Vietnam. Anyone traveling with Frank soon got used to him pointing out the sites of military battles. He came from a railroading family and loved traveling by train. He also enjoyed his collection of model trains. He was a devoted reader and student of the bible. His heart belonged to his Savior Jesus Christ.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, James and Leona Hysell Booth, of Middleport, OH; his first wife, Linda Justice Booth; brother, James K. Booth of Lubbock, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Kelly Booth; son, Steven Booth and wife Susan of Albany, OH; daughter Judith Booth Prouse of Pinch; stepdaughter Kelly Fleshman Shamblin and husband Mark, of Sissonville; stepson Wayne E. Fleshman, Jr. of Charleston; grandchildren, Melissa Prouse Taylor and husband Chris of Clendenin, Tera Prouse Kirk and husband Bill of Pinch, Julie Prouse Jarrett and husband Greg of Elkview, Matthew Booth and wife Kimberly of Ohio, Rayma Booth Bishop of Ohio; step grandchildren Cassie Shamblin Hall (Ryan) of Ona, Josiah Shamblin (Kira) of Elkview, Chessie, Isaac, and Annie Shamblin of Sissonville; great grandchildren, Macy Brickles, Madison Booth and Owen Booth of Ohio, Samuel Kirk, Kelsey Taylor,Kinsey Taylor, Tanner Jarrett, Jayden Jarrett, Josie Jarrett, Wyatt Shamblin, and Kinley Hall; and his precious cat, Katie Jo. He truly loved us all and will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 23 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Cliff Curry officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire, OH.

Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
