Leona "Cricket" Gale McLaughlin, 98, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

She was born on August 9, 1923, in Poca, to the late Barney and Dessie Painter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph McLaughlin; and brother, Vermont Painter.

Cricket is survived by her niece, Sherry Richardson (Michael) of Sandyville; sisters-in-law, Mary McLaughlin (Bill) of Huntington and Cathi McLaughlin (Bob) of New Carlise, OH; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of the Dunbar Center for all their love and care of Cricket for the last nine years.

A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
