Leonard C. Fields, 60, of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 4, 2017, surrounded by his family.

He was born on April 26, 1956, in Charleston, to the late Glen and Ellen Fields.

He worked as a chef for Buxton's Consultants retiring in 2006. His hobbies included fishing, cooking, family gatherings and making people laugh.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Cook, Helen Larch, Loretta Fields, Brenda Fields and his brother, William Fields.

Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Shelia Fields; sons, Leonard Fields Jr. and wife Angel of St. Albans, Bruce Fields and wife Sally of Lewis Center, OH; grandsons, David Fields, Cody Fields, Carson Fields, Ryan Jarrett; granddaughters, Reagan Fields, Emily Jarrett; great-granddaughter, Stormie Fields; sisters, Lorna Vaughan, Linda Fisher, Lillian Fields, brothers; Sonnie Fields and Pete Fields.

Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. on Friday, March 10, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor James C. Abner officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
