Obituary

Lila "Faye" Rose, 93, of South Charleston, passed away on October 14, 2016.

She was born on October 17, 1922, in Clendenin, to John Edward Rose, Sr. and Beulah Shaver Rose.

Faye attended a business school after high school graduation and began working at Union Carbide Corporation where she worked for 43 years before retiring as a Senior Secretary. She was active in Darlington United Methodist Church for many years serving as secretary of church schools, vice-president of Women's Society, secretary of the church board as well as teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir.

Faye loved to travel and spent many years traveling all over the world with friends. She enjoyed her friends and family and was generous to all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Edward Rose, Jr.

Faye is survived by her nephew, John Edward Rose, III (Pam) of Charleston; nieces, Judy Bailey (Robert), and Karen Osborne; and sister-in-law, Lolly Rose, all of South Charleston.

The family would like to thank her friends and caregivers who were always so good to visit with her. They would also like to thank Eastbrook Center and HospiceCare. Their help was invaluable to the family.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 on Monday, October 17, at Cunningham Memorial Park, Upper Mausoleum Chapel, with Pastor David Jones officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Cunningham Memorial Park.

The family would like to request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W., Charleston, WV 25387 in memory of Faye.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
