Lillie Means Buckalew, 95, of Elgin, SC, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Lexington (SC) Medical Center Extended Care.
She was a former resident and business woman in Dunbar, having retired from the Singer Sewing Machine Co. and then later owning the Viking Sewing Center in Dunbar.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Reginald H. Means and his son and daughter-in-law, Everett W. and Jacqueline Hood Means, grandson, Alexander H. Means and her second husband, Howard Taft Buckalew.
Surviving are her daughter, Jo Means Wheat of Elgin, SC; step-daughter, Detra Buckalew Floyd of Ravenswood; step-son, Bill Buckalew of St. Albans; sister, Dillie Fields of Charleston; grandson, Jeremy Floyd of Ravenswood and step-grandsons, James W. Mathes, Andrew Mathes and Benjamin Mathes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, in the Cunningham Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
