Linda Bailes of Sebring, Florida went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2024.

Linda is best remembered as a wonderful mother who was always there when needed, offering an abundance of love, wisdom, and unyielding support.  She is also fondly remembered as a friend and "mother" to so many of the Dunbar, WV youth through her years of volunteering with her husband in the local youth leagues.  Linda was also a foster parent for several years because of her desire to help others. In her professional career, she ascended to Executive Secretary of One Valley Bank Corp.  Linda was a staunch advocate of animal rights, and believed in having your pets spade and neutered, and did so for many years to local ferrel cat population of Sebring, FL.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert E. Bailes; son, Timothy; daughter-in-law, Jessica; grandsons, TC and Andrew; younger sister, Gloria of Flatwoods, KY; and brother, Butch of Cross Lanes, WV.

In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be sent to your local humane society.

There will a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 in Grandview Memorial Park in Dunbar, WV.
