Linda Ann Bowers Coberly, 65, of Dunbar passed away, surrounded by her family, Monday, August 16, 2010 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
She was loved by all who knew her well and will be sorely missed.
She was a homemaker. She was talented in arts, crafts, scrap booking and interior design. She worked a few years in furniture sales. Linda attended Dunbar High School until her senior year and then graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School. She also attended Morris Harvey College.
She was predeceased by her father, Lowman G. Bowers, maternal grandparents, William W. Taylor and Lillian M. Dooley Taylor; paternal grandparents, George H. Bowers and Delia Nutter Bowers; aunts, Virginia Taylor Winfree and Pauline Taylor Sawyer; and uncle, William A. Taylor.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 45 years, the Rev. Lanny R. Coberly, Sr.; son, Lanny R. Coberly, Jr.; daughter, Charlotte A. Coberly; mother, Charlotte Taylor Bowers; aunt, Margaret Nafe; and special friend, whom she called her sister, Patricia A. Brown.
The family expresses appreciation for the compassion and able care given by CAMC Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 21, at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, with the Rev. Lanny R. Coberly, Sr. officiating.
