Linda Carol
Fisher
June 13, 1953 – February 4, 2023
Linda Carol Fisher, 69, passed away on February 4, 2023 surrounded by her family at Hubbard Hospice House.
She was born on June 13, 1953 to the late Glennis and Ellen Fields.
Linda loved to cook for her family. Anyone that knew her knew they would not leave her house hungry. Every holiday, her house would be bursting with wonderful aromas and filled with family.
Her grandchildren were her whole heart. Her health was in a steady decline when Jacob, the oldest great-grandchild was born. His birth brought her new life. She wanted to live to watch him grow. Then came Jaxson and not long thereafter came Bentleigh. She would light up when any of them came to visit.
In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard and William Fields; sisters, Helen Larch, Lillian France, Lorna Vaughn, Brenda Fields, Barbara "Tootsie" Pettry, and Loretta "Cookie" Fields.
Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Marcus "Junior" Fisher; sons, Mark Fisher (Christina) and Jeff Fisher (Lorrie); brothers, Sonnie and Pete Fields; and sister, Mary Jane Reed. Also, left to cherish her memory are the reasons she fought to live for so long, her grandchildren, Kirsten, Anthony, Hailie, Ashley, and Garrett; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jaxson, and Bentleigh.
Linda suffers no more. Her fight is over. She is now with her mom, sisters, and host of family that has gone before her. Many of which she sat by their bedside as they made their journey to Heaven.
Matthew 11:28-30 - Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home.
