Linda Sue Jenkins

Linda Sue Jenkins, 74, of Cross Lanes, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2026.

She was born in Charleston, West Virginia, to Lewis Edward Cobb and Juanita May Samples Cobb on October 9, 1951.

While Linda held many jobs throughout her life, including owning Country Chimes Restaurant in 1994, her favorite and most cherished role was being a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her eight great-grandchildren.

Linda loved to dance. It didn't matter where she was—if she heard a song she loved, she would start grooving. She was unapologetically herself and never passed up an opportunity to help others or give whatever she could.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Cobb; her father, Lewis Cobb; her son, Gary Allen; her sisters, Joyce and Darlene; her brothers, Rodney, Gary, Timmy, and Roger; and her niece, Carolyn.

Linda is survived by her brother, Melvin (Marlene) of Nitro, West Virginia; her sister, Marilyn of Charleston, West Virginia; and her daughter, Kathy (Lee) of Charleston, West Virginia. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Erica (Clay), Nikki (Brock), and Zac (Kristen), all of Charleston, West Virginia, Chloe (Kyle) and Will of Chapmanville, West Virginia and Matt (Cindy) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In addition, she is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jenny of Chapmanville, West Virginia, and many beautiful great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Linda wished to be cremated and have her ashes scattered at the Cranberry River, where she loved fishing with her father as a child. She requested no formal services or celebration of life.

However, Linda dearly loved her cats, Kit-Kat and Bubby. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association so that all those sweet fur babies can have the care and supplies they need. This is Linda's way of continuing to give, even after going to her heavenly home.
