Linda Louise Rose, 84, of South Charleston, passed away on December 31, 2025.  After a long and difficult journey with Alzheimer's disease, she is finally free from the bonds of her earthly body and has found lasting peace.

A devoted caregiver by nature, Linda spent her life in service to others.  She was a Licensed Practical Nurse who took immense pride in her career, particularly her years working in obstetrics.  She often shared fond memories of her time at the hospital, where she felt honored to help bring new life into the world.  Her capacity for care was deep and enduring; though she had been divorced from her former husband, she continued to care for him deeply and carried the memory of his untimely death with her throughout her life.

Linda's greatest legacy is her family.  She was a loving mother of three daughters.  While she endured the profound loss of her daughter, Lori Rose, and an infant granddaughter, she remained a source of love for her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sandi Gleason and Keri Rose; her five grandsons, who were her pride and joy; her younger brother, Fred Brown; and her niece and nephew.

In accordance with Linda's wishes, there will be no formal service.

For those who wish to honor her memory and her life of caregiving, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or HospiceCare (Kanawha Hospice), whose support was invaluable during her final journey.

The family finds great comfort in knowing that Linda's "long road" has ended in a beautiful reunion with Lori and those who went before her.  Her spirit, once bound by illness, is now finally at rest.
