Obituary

Lindsey Edrea Thompson, 39, of Dunbar, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

She was born on August 2, 1984 in South Charleston to Brian Miller and Kelly Simmons.

Lindsey was a 2002 graduate of Cabell Midland High.  Academically, she was most proud of her time playing the saxophone in the marching and jazz band.  Lindsey played at competitions and events throughout the country.  Her love of music continued into adulthood, where she and her husband frequently traveled to concerts, near and far.  Professionally, Lindsey loved her job as a bank teller at BB&T where she worked for 15 years, and met her closest friends.  As much as it pained her, she left at the bank during the pandemic to protect the health of her family and friends.  At home, she enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, and watching crime documentaries.  Lindsey most enjoyed playing board games, puzzle games, and solving escape rooms with family and friends.  She was a compassionate person who always worked to help others, even in death as an organ donor.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Harley and Leva Jean Miller.

Lindsey is survived by her loving husband of eight years, Bradley Thompson; Goddaughter, Celine Brooks; father, Brian Miller and wife Selena of Hurricane; brother, Ben Roberts and wife Mikayla of Nitro; and her cat, Izzy.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to www.NAMI.org.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
