Lloyd Randall Gillenwater, 59, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007 at Hubbard Hospice House with his beloved wife of 30 years and his children by his side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was retired from DuPont with 30 years of service and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Dunbar. Lloyd was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by his family which includes his wife, Nola Reed Gillenwater; Joe and Joanna and Kylie Gillenwater of Cross Lanes, Russell and Cindy and Logan Layne of Dunbar, Todd Gillenwater and TJ and Madison of Myrtle Beach, SC, Billie and Tracie and Kayla Jones of Conway, SC and his family of love, Lennie and Joan Larkins of Sumerco, Jim and Nadia Kidd of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, David Gillenwater of Sumerco; sisters, Bonnie Clark and Geraldine Marker of Sumerco and Patty Justice of Cross Lanes. Lloyd is also survived by his faithful pet, Daisy Mae and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, January 27, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Joe Martin officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
