Lona Alcie Wood Snodgrass, a long time resident of South Charleston, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 after a short illness. She was born September 2, 1897, and lived to be 110 years old.
Lona was a homemaker and seamstress and a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in South Charleston. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Alcie Wood, her husband, Arnold Ray Snodgrass, a son, two daughters, and eleven siblings.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ruth Osborne, a son, Alonzo Ray Snodgrass both of South Charleston. She was blessed with four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 20, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Jeffrey Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends may from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, January 19, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, and one hour prior to the service.
