Loretta Jean Baria McCray, 75, of South Charleston, joined her loving husband, Mac McCray, in Heaven on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
She was born on March 19, 1940 to the late George and Clenna Baria in Charleston.
Loretta was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was always involved in the activities of her children and most recently, grandchildren.
She worked for many years at Joe Fazio's Restaurant in Charleston and other jobs in the Kanawha Valley. She was known as a hard worker and friendly face to all. Loretta was also a fantastic cook, avid card player and bowler.
She is survived by her son, Russ and wife, Danelle, of Hurricane; daughter, Dee Dee Chambers and husband, Scott, of Scott Depot; five grandchildren, Kyle McCray, Collin McCray, Ryan Chambers and fiancée, Katie Barnett, Alison Chambers and Taylor McCray, who were the joy of her life; her dear brothers, Paul and Robert Baria; sisters, Julia Elliot, Betty McConnell, Mary Campbell and Sue Webb; numerous nieces and nephews; and several lifelong friends that will miss her.
Loretta was an organ and tissue donor who will aid others in healing from their illnesses, true to her selfless spirit.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Roger Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Elkview.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
