Obituary

Loretta Mae Slusher, 74, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.

She was born on November 1, 1944, in Madison to the late Charlie and Ruby Maxwell.

Loretta retired from Magic Mart in Danville. She was a member of the Ferguson Baptist Church in Dunbar and she loved reading the Bible.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Jean Jeffrey, Connie Vogel; great-granddaughter, Kalea Givens; son-in-law, Roger Ball Jr.

She is survived by her son, A. Duane Slusher (Tami) of Morgantown; daughters, Cynthia L. Ball of Dunbar, Beverley D. Slusher of Dunbar; former husband and lifetime friend, Arnold W. Slusher; grandchildren, Joshua Slusher, Tarah Hoffman (Ryan), Dustin Moran (Amy), Kacee Givens, Shane Moran, Nikki Moran, Matthew Zopp (Amanda), Hannah Ball (Michael), Rachel Slusher, Aaron Slusher (Mary B); great-grandchildren, Ryder, Cannon, Brayleigh, Quinten, Kadence, Jaysin, Nevaeh, Josylin, Paisley, Simon, Raydon, Nevaeh S, Maraiya; sisters, Junie Laverty (Jim) of Brownsville, TN, Janie Wallen (Billy) of Brunswick, OH, Donna Buckner (Tony) of Danville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rt. Rev. E. Alphonso Heyliger, Senior Pastor, officiating.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
