Lorraine Wickline McCown of Tyler Mountain died September 18, 2018 following a long illness. She was born on January 18, 1925 in Gatewood, WV and was preceded in death by her husband Milbert McCown, her parents M.L. and Ethel Wickline and brothers Myles and Taylor.

Lorraine was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and Charleston School of Commerce. She was employed as a bookkeeper for L.M. McCown and Son Co. Lorraine was a member of the Gatewood Brethren Church and had attended McKinnon Memorial Presbyterian Church for years.

Lorraine is survived by her children Julia, Luanne and Michael, daughter-in-law Tera and granddaughters Elizabeth and Emily. Also surviving are her siblings Joan Cornell of Delaware, Ohio, Myra Enright of Galion, Ohio and L.G. Wickline of Fairlea, WV as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private committal service was held on September 21, 2018 at Cunningham Memorial Park in St. Albans, WV. Memorial gifts in Lorraine's memory may be made to the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 6, Fayetteville, WV 25840, Attn: Cemetery Superintendent, Sam Riner.
