Lorraine Mabel Pettit, 97, of Charleston was born on April 5, 1928, and passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  When she wasn't taking care of her family, Lorraine took care of many others during her 50 year career as a nurse.

She leaves behind her husband, Jim; children, Jan Howard (Tom), Jerry Pettit (Martha), and Meg Jackson; eight grandchildren, Thomas (Gabby), Alex (Abby), Grant (Harmoni), Sarah (Dave), Emily (Will), Hayley (Rob), Rory (Michael), and Brett (Andy); and fourteen great-grandchildren, Nolan, Heath, Gage, Ainsley, Jack, Ari, James, Eli, Parker, Hallie, Beau, Virginia, Laszlo, and Naomi.

There are no services scheduled.
