Louise Marie Ballard "Daubie" Daubenspeck, 87, of South Charleston, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012, after a long illness.
Louise was born near Mullins, on December 29, 1924 and graduated from Mullins High School, Class of 1944. She was a registered nurse, a graduate of Charleston General Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. Louise was a member of the U. S. Cadet Nursing Corps in World War II.
She was an active member of Darlington United Methodist Church and St. Johns United Methodist Church, both in South Charleston.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Smith L. "Dauby" Daubenspeck, her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are her two daughters, Debbie Pauley and her husband, Melvin of Scott Depot and Dawn Billanti and her husband, Paul of Charleston; grandchildren, Zach White of Scott Depot and Anthony Billanti of Charleston; niece, Sally Knuckles of Dunbar and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be heald at 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Corbet May officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
Louise was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandsons, her friends, reading, travelling and working in her flowers.
