Loyd C. King, 82, of Dunbar, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012, at his home.

He was a retired oil and gas engineer and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Beni Kedem Temple and Scottish Rite. Loyd was a native of Maysel, WV.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie June King, siblings, Lawrence King and his wife, Stella, Roy and Kermit King, Zelma Hardman, Cody and Jimmie King and sister-in-law, Peggy King.

Surviving are his children, Judy Alderman and her husband, Danny of Dunbar, Roy King and his wife, Mary Louise of Charleston and Sandy Kemp of Cross Lanes; brother, Oscar King; sisters, Janie Carson and husband, Don, Nina "Kitty" Strub and Jackie King; sister-in-law, Reva King. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jason and Brandi Miller, Patty Hughes, Kelly Hughes and her fiancée, David Stryker, Joshua and Heather King and Caleb King and great granddaughters, Allison and Savannah Miller and Adeline and Elyssa King.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 12, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Dr. Okey B. Harless officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
