Obituary

Lucille Grant Sullivan, 91, of Charleston passed away peacefully on June 26, 2015.

She was born on February 8, 1924 in Winfield.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Sullivan; granddaughter, Jan Smiley.

She was a member and faithful servant of McKinnon Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and volunteered at Saint Francis Hospital for over 20 years.

Lucille loved her family deeply and unconditionally and prayed for them daily. She was always giving to others and set a wonderful Godly example for family and everyone around her. Her chocolate chip cookies were legendary and well-traveled.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Boley, Barbara (Steve) Samples, Debby (John) Smiley with whom she resided, Terri (Curt) Williamson and Cecilia (Tom) Copley; grandchildren, Erik (Denise) Samples, Allison ( Mike) Madara, Cassi (Kevin) Squires, Jim Ed Copley, Justin Samples, John (Rochelle) Smiley, Esther (Paul) Brown, Amber Copley, Grace Smiley; twelve great-grandchildren; special niece, Patty (Allen) Reed.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday June 29 at McKinnon Church, Charleston with Kevin Squires officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon, Teays Valley.

Family and friends may join the family for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday June 28 at McKinnon Presbyterian Church and one hour prior to service on Monday.

"My life is being given as an offering to God and the time has come for me to leave this life. I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Now a crown is being held for me, a crown for being right with God." 2 Timothy 4, 7-8

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to McKinnon Presbyterian Church.
