Lucy C. Keller Strickland, 91, of Campbells Creek, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 in Meadowbrook Acres Nursing Center, after a long illness.

She was born at Putney, WV on December 21, 1916 to the late Samuel W. and Margaret Hudnall Keller.

She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Cinco Pilgrim Holiness Church, where she served as treasurer for more than 20 years.

Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Henry Ray Strickland; grandson, David Strickland II; five brothers; two sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Patricia Strickland of St. Albans; grandchildren, Dawn Knight of Roane County, WV; SSGT Mark Stricklkand of Ft. McCoy, WI; great grandchildren, Stephanie Rosencrance of St. Albans, Krystal Dawn and David Nathan Strickland of Marietta, OH, Caitlin Danielle Strickland of Ft. McCoy, WI and Alexis Paige Strickland of St. Albans.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 1, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Ira Keller and Frank Keller officiating. Burial will follow in Ward Cemetery, Ward.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, November 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, and one hour before the service.
