Lurene Gift's Obituary
F. Lurene Gift, 95, of Dunbar, WV, died Tuesday evening, December 29, 2009, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation for Dunbar.
She was born October 24, 1914, in Athens County, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Ray and Lena Koker Mathews. She and her husband, John D. Gift operated two NAPA Dunbar Auto Parts stores until 1972 when they moved to Naples, Florida. Lurene returned to Dunbar in May 2004 after the death of her husband of 69 years.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters-in-law.
She is survived by a brother, Warren L. Mathews of Cross Lanes, and by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held in Athens, Ohio at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar
