Luvonne Meadows Brewer, 94, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 1, 2024.

She was a graduate of Dunbar High School, and then went on to attend Glenville State College.  Upon returning to Dunbar, she met and married her husband with whom she had three children.  Luvonne was a devoted member of Dunbar First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, and was a member of The Deaconess Board.  She was also an active member of the community where she was member of Woman's Club of Dunbar and Eastern Star.

Luvonne was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Brewer; sisters, Geraldine Allen and Marjorie "Faith" Nicely; and brothers, Harold , Kenneth, and Coral Meadows.

She is survived by her children, Mindy Taylor (Steve) of Cross Lanes, Kent Brewer of Cross Lanes, and Kelly Brewer of Dunbar; grandchildren, Devyn Taylor Smith, Dylan Taylor, and Haley Brewer; sister-in-law, Lois Brewer; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers Barbi Huffman, Jean Goffaux, and Melody Snodgrass.

A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Pastor David Keeney officiating.  Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
