It is with heavy hearts and much love that we share the passing of Lynn Kay McGraw, 73, from Winfield, WV. She was born January 3, 1953, and left to be with the Lord on October 8, 2026. Lynn was a loving wife, sister, aunt and a much loved cousin. She loved New England and her happiest moments were spent at Cape Cod where she enjoyed the beauty of the shore while singing along to music by James Taylor.
Lynn spent her childhood in Dunbar, West Virginia, and graduated from Marshall University. She became a teacher at Saint Albans High School and taught for 36 years before retiring in 2010. Her dedication to education was more than a career, it was her life’s calling. She strived to make a difference in the future of her students. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, leaving a lasting impression on the many students whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Carolyn McGraw; sister, Teresa; brother, Scott; and her sweet family dog, Kelly.
Lynn leaves behind her husband of 38 years, Rod Engle. She was the aunt to Rachel (David) and Jeffrey, and great aunt to Skyler. She is survived by many cousins and dear friends who will forever treasure her honest humor and all the memories they shared.
Lynn’s wishes were to be cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
