M. Ernestine Grandin's Obituary
M. Ernestine Pickens Grandin passed away Thursday morning, October 15, 2009, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation for Dunbar.
She was born July 20, 1914, at Point Pleasant, the daughter of the late Andrew Owen Pickens and Rebecca Ernestine DeWeese Pickens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Milton Grandin and son, Milton V. Grandin.
She and her husband lived most of their adult lives in the South Charleston area. In addition, she was a graduate of the Tommy Bright School of Floral Design and worked as a designer for several of the local florists before her retirement.
She is survived by a special sister-in-law, Jean Huber of Floyd, VA; two grandchildren, Bobbi and Jeanie; and three great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, at Cunningham Memorial Park, with the Rev. James Phillips officiating.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
