Madeline Jordan, 98 ½, of Dunbar, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Heartland of Charleston.

She was very active in the First Baptist Church of Dunbar from the mid 1940s through the 1980s. She rose to be the State Secretary of the American Baptist Women's Missionary Circles organization. She attended Glenville State College for two years and taught for a few years prior to 1940. Madeline was a life member of the Glenville State College Alumni Association. In addition to her church activities, her hobby was flower gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold T. Jordan, in 1990.

Surviving are her son, Terry Jordan and his wife, Virginia of Sterling, Va.; sisters, Ruby Marsh of Hurricane and Jean Kennedy of East Lansing, MI; sisters-in-law, Mary Davis of Weston and Virginia Jordan of Swansboro, NC; nieces, Kenna Sue Lee and Barbara Wilson of WV, Elaine Arbogast of VA, and Renee Reeves of NC; nephews, Russell Barker and Joe Davis of NC, Wayne Davis and Michael Jordan of Fla., Mark Davis of MA and Stan Jordan of WA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 27, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Phil Shields officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
