Obituary

Mae Marie Stutler Barnett, 97, of Dunbar, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 6, 2010, with her family at her bedside.

She was born March 20, 1913 in Putnam County, the daughter of the late J. L. and Blanche Stutler. She worked for and retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education and was a member of the Dunbar United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Dunbar Lodge #133.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, James Barnett and Oshel Barnett; daughter, Doris Barnett; brother, Warren Stutler; sister, Mary Smith; and grandson, Dallas Casto.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Ilene (Wayne) Casto and Mary (Dale) McClanahan of Dunbar; daughters-in-law, Patricia Barnett and Barbara Barnett of Dunbar; grandchildren, Loyd (Robin) Casto, Janet (Todd) Chevalier, Kimberly (Randy) Rowley, Laura (Joe) Page, James (Johanna) McClanahan, Scott (Susan) Barnett, Kellie (D. J.) Lanham; fourteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

The family would like to give special, heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation in Dunbar for their loving care during Mae's illness and to Dr. Bowman and staff for being her primary physician for the last several years of her life.

There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, August 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 9, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Pastor Okey Harless officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dunbar United Methodist Church, 1401 Myers Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064.
