Mafalda Wheeler, 81, of Charleston, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.

She was the owner/operator of Cakes by Mafalda for many years.

Mafalda was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Wheeler; parents, Cataldo and Maria; step-mother, Mae; brothers, Frank, Pat, John, Joe, Louis, Henry, and Albert Marino; and sisters, Josephine Giordano, Margaret Santoro, Elena Marino, and Stella Valle.

She is survived by her son, Travis Haden Wheeler, Jr.; granddaughter, Haley; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Mary Ellen Marino; sister, Libby Davis; sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Tom Saunders; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 21 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
