Margaret Johnstone's Obituary
Margaret "Peggy" Lewis Johnstone, 93, of South Charleston, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in Valley Center.
Peggy was born September 17, 1913. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lovell E. Johnstone, who passed away on February 22, 1985, and her daughter, Barbara Jean Johnstone, who passed away on January 31, 1935.
Margaret was a retired Kanawha County School cook, and was a member of Mountain Heights Church, Spring Hill.
Mrs. Johnstone is survived by her daughters, Sally Keeling, and her husband Charles, of Pinch, Mary Mizell of Carlisle, PA; sons and daughters-in-law, Lovell and Joann Johnstone of South Charleston, James and Janie Johnstone of Kanawha City; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to the staff at Sweetbriar and Valley Center for the wonderful care Peggy received.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 17, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Benjamin Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, Ruth.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
In lieu of flowers and in the memory of Margaret, contributions may be made to: HospiceCare, 1143 Dunbar Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064, or to, Mountain Heights Church, 1201 Chestnut Street, South Charleston, WV 25309.
