Margaret Virginia Pearson Noffsinger, cherished wife, mother, grandmother of Poca, passed away January 24, 2016 after a long illness. She was born December 31, 1920 in Gallipolis Ferry. She was the daughter of the late Oden West Pearson and Esther Belle Austin Pearson. She and her beloved husband, Virgil Dalton Noffsinger, Senior were married sixty three years from December 16, 1939 until his death in 2003.
Her adored sisters and brothers who preceded her in death were, Faye Ellen Pearson, Helen Rai Mayes, Landis West Pearson, Lydia Eleanor Tomilson, Dorothy Evelyn Clark, Alfred Lawrence Pearson, Oden Austin Pearson, Christobelle Ferrell, Lottie Leota Roush. Margaret and Virgil's treasured granddaughter, Leigh Ann passed away in 1997.
She is survived by her children, Roxie Lynn Noffsinger Pennington and husband, John, Karen Lee Noffsinger Valleau and husband, Jim, Marsha Jean Noffsinger Davis and husband, Stanley, and Virgil Dalton Noffsinger, Jr. and wife, Valerie; also sister, Leah Bonnie Pearson Harrison; sister-in-law, Helen Pearson; and brothers-in-law, Ralph "Chuck" Ferrell and John "Pete" Roush.
Grandchildren are Dr. John and Alisha Pennington, Jenny "Gigi" and Martin Lockard, Ron and Amy Keller, Rob and Valerie Keller, Elaine and Eric Shinn, David Noffsinger and Cyndi Aragon, Brooke and Brian Detty, Ryan and Carrie Davis, Caitlyn and Garrett Ridge.
Great grandchildren are Matthew, Rachael, Elora, Ray and Johnathen, Claire, Jack, Jarod, Oliver, Jared, Erin, Leah, Scott, Alex, Lindsey, Jason, Kylie, Anna, Isaac, Quin and Lydia. Also special appreciation to her dear and devoted caregiver and companion of over eight years, Cora "Susie" Boylen and special friends, Donnie and Patty Herrold and Joetta Eagle.
There are also three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mom loved her Lord and was baptized at the age of nine. She was selfless, quiet spoken, a true lady and compassionate to all. She was a shining example of what a wife, mother and grandmother should be. Wherever she and Dad made their home they were thoughtful and supportive friends to their neighbors. Most importantly, they instilled in their family their love for their Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ in word and deed. Mom continued to sing her hymns and praise her Lord until the last
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Service will be held on Saturday, January 30 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar at 1 p.m., with Pastor Paul Boggess officiating. Interment to follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens (Noffsinger section) at Red House.
