Marian Anna "Mary Ann" Wade, 72, of South Charleston passed away on Sunday April 10, 2011, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mary Ann was born in Williamson, WV on March 20, 1939 to the late Arminaq and Mariam Messerian. She was raised with her 3 brothers in Williamson, graduating from Williamson High School and receiving her undergraduate degree from Radford College and a Masters degree from West Virginia State College. She was married to her beloved husband of 27 years, William "Bill" Wade. Mary Ann and Bill were long time parishioners of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in South Charleston.

She is a former Home Economist for Appalachian Power in Williamson, Logan, and Charleston and Radio Host of "Coffee Break" on WCHS in Charleston. She was most recently a Tax Preparer for H&R Block and Liberty Tax Service.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Bill.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving son Shan Wade, his wife Lisa, and their son Liam of Scarsdale, NY and brothers Lazarus of Cincinnati, Nishan of Sandy, UT, and John Messerian of Coral Springs, FL.

The Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 14 at Blessed Sacrament Church with Padre John Finnell officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. The family will also hold a visitation service at Blessed Sacrament from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 13.
