Marie S. Light, 82, of South Charleston, passed away Monday, March 27, 2006, at her home.

She was a homemaker and a former member of the Shepherd United Methodist Church. Mrs. Light was a native of Roane County and had been a resident of South Charleston for 46 years.

Mrs. Light is survived by her husband, Charles H. Light, Jr.; sons, Gary Light and his wife, Joy of South Charleston and Charles W. Light and his wife, Annie of St. Albans; grandchildren, Heather Light of Charleston, Cassie Light of St. Albans and Michael Light of Amherstdale, step grandchildren, Chrissy Perdue, Tina Jo Adkins and Jesse "Bubby" Foster.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. James W. "Bill" Holtsclaw officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.
