Marilyn Comer Jarvis, 88, of Hurricane, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 16, 2018.
She was born on December 10, 1929 to the late William and Oma Comer.
Marilyn retired from J.C. Penney in Barboursville. She lived at the Dunbar Towers in Dunbar for seven years then she lived at the Putnam Center in Hurricane for the last three years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Max Jarvis; brothers, William E. Comer, Cecil Comer, Roy Thomas Comer, James V. Comer, Francis Comer, Clarence Comer, Robert Comer; and sister, June Bloss.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret "Sug" Lambert and husband James of Huntington; children, Melbern Jarvis and wife Debbie of Longs, SC, William "Bill" Jarvis and wife Janice of Newcomers Town, OH, Carolyn Panell and husband Stephen of Hurricane, John Jarvis and wife Karen of Clemmons, NC, Daniel Jarvis and wife Joanna of Huntington; grandchildren, Lydia Robertson and husband Rob of Arizona, Heather Jester and husband Charles of Georgia, Billy Jarvis and wife Amy of Newcomers Town, OH, Sarah Jarvis of North Carolina, Mary Jarvis of North Carolina, John Thomas Jarvis and wife Amber of North Carolina, Justin Jarvis of Huntington, Jeremy Jarvis of Huntington, Christie Persinger, Mary Ginestra and Cathy Hunt; great-grandchildren, Artevia, Aleshia, Alecsia Jester, Madison Jarvis, and Sabra Robertson; Great-great grandchild Emberly Bate.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, April 20, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Ron Stoner officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
