While surrounded by family, Marion Elizabeth Boggess, 93, of Cross Lanes, stepped into Glory on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

Marion attended Perrow Church for many years, and Maranatha Fellowship in her latter years.  The most important part of her life was her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Her family was her greatest joy, and for many years her house was the gathering place for family and friends.  Marion also enjoyed traveling.  The mountains and the beach were two of her favorite places.  She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Boggess; mother, Lottie Mae Shamblin; father, Carl Shamblin; sister; Betty Burdette; brother, James Shamblin; and son-in-law, Charles Baer.

Marion is survived by her daughters, Carol Hanson (Duane) and Judy Baer; son, Richard Boggess (Debbi); grandchildren, Pat Hanson (Heather), Kerry Snyder (Jason), Staci Clutters (Brett), Angie Kotula (Ken), Andria Smith, Dee Gaddy (Kenny), Tina Strickland (Sam), and Ricky Boggess (Allison); 24 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Jamie Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
