Mark Arnold Barefield, 46, was carried away by Angels into eternity on Friday, March 4, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Arnold Ray Barefield.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel; sons, Mark "Andy" of St. Albans, Spenser, Cooper and their mother, Barbara Kirk of Denton, TX; three stepchildren, Leslie, Drew and Zach. He is also survived by his mother, Norma and stepfather (dad) Wandel Mullins; brother, Chuck and former wife, Chris of Dunbar; sister, Tina, and her husband, Sam Worrell of Charleston; stepbrothers, Ray, Howard and Timmy Mullins; stepsister, JoAnn Paxton; special nephews, Joshua (wife, Heather), Aaron, Daniel, Caleb and Christopher; aunt and uncle, Ritha and Bob Hamilton; cousins Kathy and Little Bob. Mark also leaves cherished memories with a host of friends.

Mark was employed by Lester Raines Imports as a Sales Manager for five years.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the Dr.'s and staff at Thomas Memorial Hospital for the love and care they gave to Mark.

As the days come and go and the world moves on,

I know you're still here, you'll never be gone.

On the night the Angel came and took your hand,

we cried as you left for an unknown land.

But Heaven rejoiced as you came into sight,

for your soul was a diamond, shining so bright.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Terry Hogue and Eddy Withrow officiating. Burial will follow in Ward Cemetery.
