Marlene "Kay" Asbury, known to most as "Nanny Kay" passed away at the age of 84 on January 25, 2024.

Kay's beloved husband of 62 years, Doyle Asbury, was waiting for her at the pearly gates, that is if he wasn't playing golf.  Doyle, passed away in room 15 at Hubbard Hospice House on January 24, 2020 which is the exact same room Kay was in when she went to him.

Kay remained active with her family, and loved her grandsons and great-grandsons more than life itself.  She was a member of Truth Baptist Church in Kanawha City.

She leaves behind her daughter, Kim Davis (Jeff); grandsons, Trevor Davis (Kaytlin) and Chaz Davis; great-grandsons, Cash and Walker Davis; along with her little shorkie "Winston", who will now live with Kim and Jeff.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30 at Truth Baptist Church in Kanawha City with Pastor Corey Bradley officiating.  Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

The family will receive visitors two hours prior to the service at the church.
