Martha Jane Alley, 92, of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

She was born on September 12, 1929, in McCoy, VA, to the late Herman Owen and Eula Mae Snyder.

Along with her late husband Harry, Martha moved to St. Albans, in 1960 and purchased St. Albans Floral which they owned for approximately 40 years. She later went to work at Rite Aid in the floral department where she retired after 20 years. The last few years she worked at Flowers on Olde Main, former location of St. Albans Floral.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Alley; son, David Alley; daughter, Barbara Alley Workman; son-in-law, Mike Boggs; sisters, Marian Kemp, Melba Wiggins, and Elizabeth Snyder.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Sandra Alley Boggs of Longs, SC; son, Anthony Alley of St. Albans; granddaughters, Nicole Bruno and husband Ralph of Harrison, PA, Jodi Watson and husband Tony of Hurricane; great-grandchildren, Tyler Bruno and fiancee Jessica Arnold, Breanna Bruno, Carleigh Bruno, Zoee Watson, Romin Watson, and Eastin Watson; son-in-law, David Workman; close family friend, Paul James, whom she thought of as a son; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September, 18, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with her brother-in-law, Pastor Darrell Alley officiating. Entombment will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
