Martha A. Foster, 86, of South Charleston, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at her home.
She had been employed by the Bon Ton Laundry in South Charleston for 28 years and retired from the Donut House, also in South Charleston, after 18 years of service. Mrs. Foster was a member of the Ivydale Baptist Church and was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County.
She was preceded in death by her son, Edward Arnold Foster of South Charleston.
Martha is survived by her sons, Jimmy Allen Foster of Florida, Earl Lee Foster of South Charleston, Noble Okey Foster of Dunbar and Melvin Wayne Foster of South Charleston; daughters, Madeline Connie Boyd of Charleston and Ada Lucille Carte of Kentucky; step-daughter, Kimberly Thomas of South Charleston; brother, Charles Edward Foster of North Carolina, 9 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 5, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Clarence Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
