Mary Casto Carter, 78, of Cross Lanes and Sun City Arizona passed away April 17, 2025 after a short illness.

Mary was a Christian and a long-time member of King's Way Christian Church in Nitro.  She worked with Attorney Robin L. Godfrey, and retired after 30 years.  Mary was a member of Thomas Hospital Auxiliary, and volunteered for many years.  Mary was also a member of the Does of Elks Lodge 202.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis C. Carter; parents, Aley and Nellie Casto; sister, May Stump; brothers, Crayton and Clinton Casto.

Mary is survived by her constant companion, Arnold Summers; son, Bill Lanham (Mary); and her grandson, Billy and his wife Brianna.

A funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Paul Ronk officiating. She will be buried in Cunningham Memorial Park with her husband, Lewis.

Family will welcome visitors at 12:00 p.m. at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
