Mary E. Conley, of Dunbar, passed away at the Hubbard Hospice House of Charleston and went to Heaven on May 4, 2008 at the age of 86, after a courageous two year battle with breast cancer.
She was a wonderful loving Mother, Ma-Ma, Ma-Maw Mary and Moo-Butter to her family. She always put God and family first place in her life. She was a Christian and was a member of the Dunbar First Church of God and worked as a beautician for more than 20 years. She was born December 26, 1921, the daughter of the late Malley and Gladys Pauley.
Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Glen Rehe, Ralph Smith and Rome Conley; her son, Glen "Butch" Rehe; sister Helen Downs; brothers, Carson, Calvin and Clark Pauley; and a precious great-granddaughter, Lucy Erin Smith.
Surviving are daughters, Donna Smith and her husband, Denny of Dunbar and Carol Fields and her husband, Keith of Hurricane; sister, Jean Hedrick of Nitro; brothers, Richard Pauley of Bradenton, Fla, Malley Pauley, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC, and Bob Pauley of Nitro; grandchildren, Tim Smith and wife, Gwen of Dunbar, Scott Crouch, Joey Crouch and wife, Jennifer of Hurricane, Lindsay McChesney and husband, Rob of Maryland and Lacy Rehe of New York; great grandchildren, Garrett, Mickey and Luke Smith, Josie, Justin and Jenna Crouch, Cooper and Owen McChesney, Taylor and Bella Crouch and Alex Murray. She was the hub of her family.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. Larry McCallister and the Rev. Glenn Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
