Mrs. Mary Helen Gibson, 79, of Charleston, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Mary was a waitress for Shoney's, the Ramada Inn and the Quarrier Diner, but later became a caregiver. She was also a member of Holley Memorial Baptist Church in Spring Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pauline Holdren; daughter, Mary Sullivan; and son, Greg Duncan.

Mary is survived by her husband, George M. Gibson of Charleston; daughter, Paula A. Carte (Randy) of Byesville, OH; son, James D. Duncan of Charleston; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 23, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Lee Hamrick and Rev. Donald Fleck officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
