Mary Jane Hypes, 83, of South Charleston,  passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at CAMC General after a long illness.

She retired from Kroger in South Charleston.  Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Holestine, and her brothers, Charles and Edward Holestine.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Arthur Hypes of South Charleston; daughters, Donna King (Kevin) of Charleston and Lora Parsons of St. Albans; three grandchildren, Skylar Parsons, Conner King, and Evan Parsons; along with sister-in-law, Betty Pauley of Nitro.

The family would like to thank CAMC General for the wonderful care.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Graceland Memorial Park Chapel in South Charleston.
