Mary Alice (Bennett) Jones, 88, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.

She was born on November 27, 1928 in Charleston, the daughter of the late James Bennett Sr. and Louise Dennis Bennett.

Mary was preceded in death by Oscar Jones, her husband of 47 years; daughter, Catherine Louise Estes; brother, James Bennett Jr.; and sister, Barbara Porter.

She is survived by her sons, Oscar Jones Jr. of Cincinnati, OH and Clarence Jones of Gallatin, TN; daughters, Brenda Jones of Charleston and Marcia Jones of Charleston; daughters-in-law, Bonnie Jones of Cincinnati, OH and Karen Jones of Gallatin, TN; sisters, Delores Johnson of Charleston, Lorraine Stevens of Cincinnati, OH; and brother-in-law, Ralph Johnson of Charleston; six grandchildren, Takela Vaden of Gainesville, FL, Oscar Jones III of Wheeling, Brandon Jones of Ft Worth, TX, Danielle Jones of Cincinnati, OH, Diana Myles of Cincinnati, OH, and Elysha Terry of Charleston; 13 great-grandchildren; a host of other family, friends, and her extended Bingo family.

The Jones family would like to express a special thanks to our dear sister, Shawn Allen, and the dedicated professionals at CAMC Memorial Hospital and Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, in Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
