Mary Elaine Long, 83, of Dunbar, passed from this life to her heavenly home on August 4, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House.

Mary was a retired teacher and long-time volunteer for Hospice and Dunbar-Institute Samaritan Canter.

She was a Christian and an elder of First Presbyterian Church of Dunbar.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Bertha Long.

She is survived by her cousin, George McCoppa of Toledo, OH; and many friends who will miss her.

Thanks to Hubbard Hospice House for taking such good care of Mary in her final days.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, at First Presbyterian Church of Dunbar with the Rev. Dr. Patricia Jarvis. A reception will follow the service.
