Obituary

Mary Lou Lynch, 82, of Cross Lanes, and previously of Titusville, Florida, passed away on August 24, 2017, after a short illness.

Mary Lou was a quiet, self-sacrificing woman of strength, courage, compassion, and loyalty. She dearly loved God, her family and friends. Mary Lou taught her children to stand on God's word, choose to do right, and to look for the best in others. She worked as a secretary/clerk for the City of Dunbar, and as a timekeeper for Conrail Railroad.

Mary Lou lost her husband in March 2017, and spent the last five months of her life being loved and cared for by her daughters, Sheri and Vicki, and son, Jimmy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis A. Lynch : parents, Delbert Odell Turley and Evelyn Shamblin Turley; and brother, Harold Turley.

Mary Lou is survived by daughters, Sheri Barnett Williams (Jim-deceased) of Lewisville, TX, Vicki Barnett Horn (Bill) of Cross Lanes, and Gina Ann Lynch Walker of Cross Lanes; sons, James M. Lynch (Lesley) of Edgewater, FL and Michael A. Lynch of Orlando, FL; brothers, Denver Turley (Minnie-deceased) of Dunbar and Charles Turley (Faye) of Scott Depot. She was blessed to also have ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She will live forever in the hearts of her family.

Services will be held at noon on Friday, September 1, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Cheryl Hastings officiating. Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
