Mary Lucy Midkiff's Obituary
Mary 'Lucy' Midkiff, 81, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2014, following a long illness at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Midkiff, and father, Lloyd Jenkins. She is survived by sister, Freda Jenkins, of Julian, and half sister, Brenda Smith of Gordon, WV; daughters, Teresa Gillispie and Jeanie Welch (son-in-law Marvin), all of Dunbar; son, David Chapman of Holiday, Florida; 5 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Lucy was a long term in-home care provider for several patients throughout her adult life, where she was able to pay it forward. In return, the staff of Cedar Ridge Nursing Home, along with Hospice, took excellent care of her with kindness in her last year of life. Her family is greatly appreciative for the provided care.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 9 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Marvin Welch officiating. Entombment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park.
Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
