Mary Ellen Miller, age 59, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Mary was a resident at Teays Valley Nursing Center in Hurricane, WV. Originally from Clendenin, WV, she also lived for many years in Tampa, Fla., where she raised her family as a dedicated homemaker. Mary was a devoted Christian, was very active in her faith and enjoyed many years participating in ministry as a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Tampa, Fla.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Rosie Westfall of Clendenin, WV.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jennie Miller of Nitro, WV and her son, Chad Miller of Gallipolis, OH; and brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Patty Westfall of Clendenin, WV.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 9, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 4923 Kentucky Street, South Charleston, 25309, with the Rev. Kent Estep officiating.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary's memory to the Teays Valley Center "Resident's Council." Monies will be used to assist residents in need of clothing, personal care items, etc. and to help fund recreational activities.
